IJAN EKITI CLAMOURS FOR QUALITY REPRESENTATION, PRESENTS ADEMOLA OBATIMEHIN FOR ASSEMBLY.

People from across different political parties in Ijan Ekiti, Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State have lamented poor representation in the scheme of things in the current administration of the state.

The people who came together to decry the level of development in the town explained that they had been neglected without any government attention and had being living without electricity for the past nine years with no one pushing the case.

They berated the past administration of Governor Ayodele Fayose and blamed the current legislator in the area whom they said could have called the attention of the present administration to the issue, but paying a deaf ear to the yearnings of the people.

They vowed that having witnessed the administrations of the two political parties; PDP and the APC in the state, they have resolved to support a new system and waves of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) whereby the welfares and well being of residents and development of the constituency could be attended to.

Meanwhile, a son of the soil Mr Ademola Obatimehin popularly called (Demmy) whom they said had for long been engaging in phillantropy, youth and women empowerment, football competition, education aid for students among other life impacting initiatives selflessly contributed to the development of the town was presented by the people to run the seat of membership in the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

The people followed Mr Ademola Obatimehin to the SDP ward Secretariat and presented him to the ward chairman Mr Idowu Famuagun where they prayed for him noting that the personality of Obatimeyin would do the constituency a lot of good having considered his consistency in the past twelve years.

Community leaders at the gathering include Chief Joel Olofintimileyin, Mr Abiodun Oloje Women chiefs among others who reposed much confidence in Obatimeyin describing him as a true leader, accessible, loyal honest and always showing genuine concerns for the less privileged.

Mr Obatimehin who could not hide his joy that the people found him worthy to represent the constituency under the Social Democratic Party declared his unalloyed loyalty to the humanitarian and community development services.

He assured them that he would justify the confidence reposed in him while calling on the people to throw their strong weight behind the victory of the SDP Governorship candidate of Chief Segun Oni.

Obatimehin  said that the aspiration of the constituency for a quality representation and impactful administration could only come to reality if Segun Oni is elected as the Governor of the state.
