A Foremost Politician and PDP Governorship  aspirant in the just concluded Guber Poll in Ekiti State Mr Kayode Adaramodu has enjoined Muslim faithfuls to rededicate themselves to God and preach the gospel of love and unity as they mark this year’s celebration of the Eid-il Kabir.

Adaramodu urged Muslims in Ekiti state and Nigeria as a whole to prioritise national security and unity and economic fortunes for the country in their prayers this year.

The Ilawe Ekiti born Politician reminded them that Eid el- Kabir is a festival of sacrifice, hence, leaders and followers must desist from asking what their state and their country can do for them rather, ask what they can do for their country to record actual development, and be ready to make the sacrifice.

According to him, the need for selfless sacrifice to end insecurity in most parts must be the concern of all and sundry and the job of National Security is the responsibility of all.

While thanking Almighty Allah for sparing the lives of the muslims to witness the festival, he berated different attacks happening across the country. He said it was high time people across demography concerted effort to make the country a better place while appealing to the Muslims to intensify prayer for peace to reign in the country.

Adaramodu encouraged the act of sharing of the sacrificial meat with non Muslim and Muslim neighbours alike who are not privileged to slaughter ram as he explained that by so doing, societal peace, friendship and relationship will be unconditionally strengthened.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to accept the sacrifice by muslims as an act of Ibadah urging people to continue the acts and virtues of this time beyond the period of Sallah celebrations.

In his words ”

Eid-el-Kabir festival offers another opportunity for sober reflection and spiritual renewal which Allah demands from the faithful. Nigerians need to imbibe the lessons of commitment, dedication and loyalty. Leaders must be loyal to the course of the followers while the followers must also demonstrate patriotism as exemplified by God and Prophet Ibraheem on the sacrifice of his son in deference to the will of God, which Eid-el-Kabir commemorates.

This symbolic Islamic festival is a constant reminder to us that, there is the need for trust, hope and faithfulness to God. It also reminds us of the sacrifice we are to make not only for spiritual fulfilment but for the development of our society and advancement of humanity.

Development and progress would only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace, unity and mutual respect. We must, therefore, eschew situations that can further divide us as a people.

I wish the good people of Ekiti State and Nigeria the joy, peace and blessing of the season”

Adaramodu also urged Muslim faithful to pray for peace in the country, as they perform the Arafat rites. He prayed to Almighty Allah to accept the sacrifice by muslims as an act of Ibadah urging people to continue the acts and virtues of this time beyond the period of Sallah celebrations.
