A high-profile delegation from Ekiti state Ministry of Capacity Development and Training, led by the Honourable Commissioner Prof. Olugbenga Tedela, on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 paid a courtesy visit to the House of Assembly Service Commission purposely to explore avenues for potential collaboration.
The delegation, warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the commission, Mr. Kayode Fasakin, congratulated the recently appointed Board Members, describing their appointment as well deserving considering their various experiences and their pivotal roles in the society.
Prof. Tedela who shed light on the remarkable transformations within the former Office of Capacity Development and Reforms, now evolved into the Ministry of Capacity Development and Training accentuated the ministry’s role in enhancing the capacity of Ekiti State Public Service workforce.
According to him, the ministry would leave no stone unturned to ensure the fulfillment of the vision and mission of shared prosperity of the current administration under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
The Commissioner promised to produce a comprehensive 2024 Training Brochures, outlining planned programs aimed at fortifying efficiency across public and civil services in the coming year.
Expressing gratitude for the visit, Fasakin stressed the import of tailoring training initiatives to cater for the unique developmental needs of Ministries, Department and Agencies, (MDAs,) pledging support of the commission to the ministry.
Also, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Olufemi Adedipe promised the Commission of collaborative efforts aimed at fostering top-tier, cost-effective training programs while respecting the autonomy of associated organizations. He underscored the importance of preserving the distinct administrative powers of each entity while fostering synergy and robust partnerships.
The Director of Capacity Development and Training, Mr. Gbenga Emiloju, alongside the Principal of the Staff Development Centre affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to elevating the skill set and capabilities of the Ekiti State Civil Service workforce.
