Team Better Naija Drums Support For Tinubu, Organizes Free Medical Outreach

The Team Better Naija has thrown its weight behind the presidential aspiration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for the February 25, 2023 election.

It also declared that it was backing the call for the presidency of Nigeria to return to the South, after eight years of President Muhammadu Buhari, a Northerner, as the helmsman.

Thegroup, through its National Coordinator, Remi Omowaiye, an engineer, stated these yesterday in Benin, the Edo state capital, during a free medical outreach to drum support for Tinubu and other candidates of APC for next year’s polls which was held at the APC Edo South senatorial candidate campaign office.

Omowaiye said:

“We x-rayed all the leading candidates and we discovered that Asiwaju Tinubu is obviously the best. We know what he did in the health sector as governor of Lagos State. So, that is why we are here. We will also be going to other states of Nigeria.

“We are also promoting the aspiration of all APC candidates, because it is beyond the president. If you do not have a National Assembly that will support you, it will be difficult for you to achieve anything.

The North has had its share of eight years and it is now the turn of Southern Nigeria. That is what the APC Northern governor insisted on. We have looked at the two leading presidential candidates in Southern Nigeria and we discover that Asiwaju Tinubu is better.

The national coordinator also stated that one of the areas Nigerians had challenges was in the health sector.

“One of the selling points of Asiwaju Tinubu is his exploits in the health sector in Lagos State, as governor for eight years. He revived the healthcare system. Today, the Lagos State University (LASU) has a teaching hospital, courtesy of Asiwaju Tinubu and everybody is proud of what we have in Lagos.”

No fewer than 1000 adults and children benefitted from the activity that featured free consultations, blood pressure check, blood sugar screening, maleria screening, eye test, free drugs , among others. Also, opthalmologists and opticians attended to patients with visual problems, over 500 eyeglasses were given out free of charge.

The DIrector General of Team Better Naija Hon Etinosa Igiebor in his remark said that the outreach was one of the humanitarian services of the group, adding that the outreach will be moved round the country to promote the aspiration of Bola Tinubu .

Some of the beneficiaries, who spoke with journalists expressed happiness at the opportunity to receive such standard healthcare services at no cost to them and profusely thanked the Team Better Naija as well as medical and health personnel for the exercise.
