World Peace Organization Charges Osun Guber Candidates to Respect Peace Accord, Meets Oyetola, Adeleke, others

The Director General, World Peace Organization (WPO) in Nigeria,  Prof. Olumuyiwa Babalola has met with the Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola of All Progressive Congress (APC) and Senator Ademola Adeleke of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) as well as candidates of other political parties ahead of the Saturday poll.

In a statement personally signed and made available to the Press, Olumuyiwa explained that the meeting was to ensure peaceful conduct of the election as well as safety of electorate. He said it was important to solidify democracy in the nation, charging candidates and their teeming supporters to see signing of Peace Accord done on Wednesday  as a symbolic commitment to democracy adding that Nigeria desperately needs a peaceful environment.

According to him,  the exercise is onee of the best way to show commitment to the readiness for the peaceful implementation and  smooth conduct of the governorship election.

The WPO Boss also commended the efforts made by the Convener of the National Peace Committee (NPC), Bishop Matthew Kukah and the Chairman of the Committee, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar for their total commitment to peace building in Nigeria.

In his remarks, the APC candidate and incumbent Governor Oyetola,  thanked the WPO Director General for his visit to Osun State and assured him that his party was committed to ensuring peaceful, credible, free and fair poll in the state.
