The son of the Late Engineer Isreal Oluwasanmi, of the Oluwasanmi Dynasty led by the Chairman of the Ekiti Council of Elders, Professor Joseph Oluwasanmi, Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi, has officially declared his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration which took place in his country home at Ward 2, Ode Ekiti, drew a crowd of party faithful and community members.
Speaking on his decision to join the APC, Oluwasanmi emphasized that the party’s platform would enable him to expand his philanthropic activities and impact more lives.

He noted that government alone could not address all societal challenges, stressing the need for privileged individuals to contribute towards making the world a better place for humanity.
Oluwasanmi highlighted the APC’s solid and workable ideology, which he said had been instrumental in the rapid development of Nigeria at the local, national, and international levels, describing the party as a vehicle for sustainable growth and progress.

The internationally reputed pharmacist commended the achievements of the Ekiti State Government under Governor Biodun Oyebanji, noting that the administration had brought unprecedented development to various sectors. He cited improvements in education, agriculture, health, and economic empowerment as tangible proof of the government’s dedication to the welfare of the people.

He vowed to work tirelessly to ensure the continuity of the Oyebanji-led administration and APC’s dominance in Ekiti beyond 2030. He described the party’s political appointments as strategic, particularly citing the appointment of EKSU Chancellor, Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, as a step towards institutional transformation.

He revealed that he had closely followed Governor Oyebanji’s public aid initiatives, particularly the “Ojuse BAO” programme, which he said had lifted a lot of souls out of the chains of poverty.

Having personally sponsored several education, agriculture, and health assistance projects through the Adedayo Oluwasanmi Foundation (AOF) for over a decade, Oluwasnmi said he saw alignment with the government’s policies as a right step in the right direction.

He lauded the synergy within the current government, describing it as an administration driven by excellence. He particularly lauded the efforts of the First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, through the Widow and Orphan Hope (WAOH) Initiative, which has been providing support to marginalized groups across the state.

He also commended the Adire Hub Initiative, championed by the First Lady, as a creative strategy for economic empowerment. According to him, such initiatives help to diversify the economic base of the state and create alternative routes to prosperity.
The APC, he said, remained a party that prioritizes the people’s interests, as he noted that the current political leadership at both the state and federal levels had demonstrated a commitment to the actual development of the citizens and their communities.

“For Nigeria to prosper, collective efforts are required. APC, under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, has positively impacted Ekiti people, and I believe aligning with this party will enable me to do even more for my community,” Oluwasanmi stated.
He described President Bola Tinubu as a hero, boldly tackling the country’s challenges head-on. He urged Nigerians to rally behind the administration’s policies, which he described as necessary steps to rescue the nation from years of stagnation and underdevelopment.
Oluwasanmi called for patience and support for the federal government, urging Nigerians to endure any temporary hardship as the country undergoes critical reforms. He assured that the benefits of democracy would soon reach every corner of the nation.
As part of his commitment to grassroots development, the philantropist pledged to work for the positive transformation of Ward 2, Ode Ekiti, into becoming a model community within the party. He appreciated party leaders, members, and youths for their warm reception and assured them of his dedication and loyalty to the party’s rules and leadership.
The pharmacist also lauded President Tinubu’s economic reforms and agricultural revolution programmes, stressing the need to align with these policies to create a lasting positive impact on the country’s history.

Handing over the new party member to the local government executives, Fasanmi acknowledged that Oluwasanmi’s humanitarian work had long made him a desirable candidate for the progressive fold. He noted that his various initiatives before joining the party had already aligned with APC’s vision.
Speaking on behalf of the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, and the State Chairman, Barrister Sola Eleshin, the Local Government Chairman, Elder Tokunbo Akinyeye, welcomed Oluwasanmi into the party, urged him to remain steadfast in his service to humanity and the party.
Akinyeye expressed optimism that Oluwasanmi’s influence would enhance the party’s strength and its ability to empower more citizens. He assured him of the party’s support in ensuring his philanthropic missions reached a wider audience.
