Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi, an aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, urging them to sustain the enduring values of sacrifice, discipline, compassion and spiritual devotion imbibed during the holy month.
In a comprehensive goodwill message issued to mark the Eid celebration, Oluwasanmi described Ramadan as a sacred period of intense spiritual reflection and moral rejuvenation, noting that beyond abstinence from food and drink, the fasting period serves as a transformative experience that deepens faith, strengthens character and reinforces the importance of peaceful coexistence within diverse communities.
The aspirant congratulated Muslim faithful across Ekiti State, particularly those in Ekiti East, Gbonyin/Aiyekire and Emure Local Government Areas, commending their steadfastness, resilience and commitment throughout the fasting period, while also acknowledging their role in fostering unity and maintaining a climate of peace and mutual respect with people of other religious backgrounds.
Oluwasanmi paid glowing tribute to the Muslim community in the constituency for their maturity, tolerance and exemplary conduct, emphasizing that their peaceful disposition has significantly contributed to the stability and harmonious relationships that exist across towns and communities within Ekiti South Federal Constituency II.
While soliciting continued support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as it works to reposition the country for greater stability and economic progress, he expressed profound appreciation to the Muslim Ummah for their consistent support for the Ekiti State Government under the leadership of Biodun Oyebanji, noting that such support has been instrumental in enabling the administration to deliver on its development agenda and implement impactful policies across key sectors.
According to him, the synergy between the government and the people, particularly faith based communities, has created a conducive atmosphere for governance to thrive, adding that sustained cooperation, trust and collective responsibility remain vital for achieving long term development goals in the state.
He therefore urged Muslim faithful not to relent in offering prayers for the state and the nation, stressing that divine guidance and intervention are indispensable in addressing the complex socio economic challenges confronting Nigeria and in ensuring that leaders are guided toward making decisions that benefit the greater good.
Oluwasanmi further charged Muslims to carry forward the lessons learned during Ramadan, including self discipline, empathy, generosity, humility and unwavering devotion to God, urging them to allow these virtues to guide their daily interactions and contributions to community development.
He explained that Ramadan is not merely a ritualistic obligation but a comprehensive process of moral purification and spiritual rebirth, which challenges believers to abandon negative tendencies and embrace values that promote justice, equity and compassion in society.
Speaking on the political landscape in Ekiti State, the aspirant called on the Muslim community to reciprocate the inclusive governance style of the current administration by coming out en masse to support the government in the June 2026 governorship election, describing the poll as crucial for sustaining the progress recorded so far.
Oluwasanmi a grass root politician and community developer from Ode Ekiti emphasized that the administration of Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated a strong commitment to fairness, inclusivity and equitable representation, particularly in ensuring that all religious groups are adequately carried along in governance without discrimination.
He highlighted the appointment of over 50 Muslim faithful into key and strategic positions within the state government, describing the move as unprecedented and a clear indication of the administration’s resolve to promote unity and inclusiveness across religious divides.
According to him, such deliberate efforts have effectively changed the narrative of religious marginalization in Ekiti State, fostering a stronger sense of belonging among Muslim faithful and strengthening the bond between the government and the people.
The aspirant maintained that the inclusive policies of the Oyebanji led administration have set a commendable benchmark for governance in the state, where competence, fairness and unity are prioritized above sectional or religious considerations.
He reiterated his call for continued support for President Tinubu, expressing confidence that the ongoing reforms at the federal level, though challenging, are aimed at repositioning the nation’s economy for sustainable growth and improved living standards for Nigerians.
Oluwasanmi assured the people of Ekiti South Federal Constituency II of his readiness to provide effective and people oriented representation if elected, pledging to leverage his professional background, grassroots connection and commitment to service in attracting development and amplifying the voices of his constituents at the National Assembly.
He concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, praying that the blessings of Ramadan would usher in renewed hope, unity, prosperity and continued progress for families, communities, Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
