Adedayo Oluwasanmi Leads Grassroots Push for APC E-Registration in Ekiti, Urges Supporters, Party Faithful to Formalize, Re-validate Loyalty

A renowned pharmacist, grassroots political mobiliser, and philanthropist from Ode Ekiti, Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress across Ekiti State to fully embrace the ongoing electronic registration exercise, describing it as a decisive step that will shape the strength, unity, and organisational future of the ruling party at the grassroots.

Oluwasanmi made the call against the backdrop of the commencement of the APC e registration exercise across wards and local government areas in the state, an initiative aimed at building a credible and comprehensive digital database that accurately reflects the party’s membership, spread, and internal structure.

According to the grassroots mobiliser, the exercise should not be seen as a routine administrative requirement but as a strategic process that will determine how effectively the party plans, mobilises, and responds to the aspirations of its members in the years ahead.

He urged APC members across the state, with particular emphasis on Gbonyin, Aiyekire, Emure, and Ekiti East Local Government Areas, to come out en masse and ensure they are properly captured, noting that these areas have consistently served as strong pillars of support for the party over the years.

Oluwasanmi said the long standing political awareness and mobilisation capacity of these local governments place on them a responsibility to once again set the pace in party participation, adding that a strong showing in the registration exercise would further consolidate the APC’s grassroots base.

He explained that proper party registration goes beyond participation during elections, stressing that true loyalty and commitment to a political party must also be reflected in formal membership and continuous engagement within its recognised structures.

According to him, the open support many party faithful express for Governor Biodun Oyebanji and President Bola Tinubu would carry greater meaning and institutional value when it is backed by documented membership within the party’s official database.

The pharmacist noted that the e registration exercise provides an opportunity for supporters to move from informal backing to becoming fully recognised stakeholders with a voice in party affairs and internal decision making processes.

He said a reliable and up to date membership register would significantly strengthen internal communication, making it easier for the party to understand the needs of its members, address grievances, and design programmes that reflect grassroots realities.

Oluwasanmi observed that many internal challenges faced by political parties, including complaints of exclusion, marginalisation, and unfair treatment, often stem from poor documentation and unclear membership status.

He explained that accurate records help the party identify areas that require reconciliation, greater engagement, or targeted mobilisation, while also reducing confusion during congresses, primaries, and other critical internal activities.

The grassroots leader stressed that political parties thrive on structure, order, and internal democracy, noting that the ongoing registration exercise is a vital tool for strengthening these foundations and supporting informed decision making.

He added that proper documentation would also make it easier for the party to recognise and reward loyalty, dedication, and long standing service, which in turn encourages a stronger sense of belonging and responsibility among members.

Oluwasanmi called on ward executives and party officials to provide effective leadership by mobilising members and ensuring that the registration process is smooth, transparent, and inclusive, stressing that grassroots leadership remains the backbone of any successful political organisation.

He also appealed to youths and women within the party to actively participate in the exercise, describing them as key drivers of political mobilisation whose proper inclusion in formal party structures is essential for the party’s sustainability.

Oluwasanmi concluded by describing the e registration exercise as timely and necessary, urging all APC members across Ekiti State to seize the opportunity, noting that recognition, inclusion, and influence within the party begin with being properly registered, documented, and ready to contribute to the collective success of the APC.
