The Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, has urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and resolute in safeguarding the economic gains recorded under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying the country must not allow what he described as “orchestrated insecurity” to derail ongoing progress.
Speaking with a journalist at the Eagle Square in Abuja, Adeyeye said the recent security breaches in parts of the country were deliberate attempts by individuals who, according to him, “have seen the nation’s bright prospects and are desperate to stall the Federal Government’s rescue mission.”
He argued that President Tinubu has been repositioning the country through what he termed far-reaching, people-centred reforms, insisting that the administration has not betrayed the confidence Nigerians placed in it during the 2023 elections.

He maintained that the President remains committed to tightening security and confronting threats with renewed momentum.
Adeyeye, who was the SWAGA chairman prior to the 2023 election has again revived his grassroots mobilisation for the President across the 36 states under the Renewed Hope Ambassadors platform, stressing that Nigeria cannot afford to lose the ground it has already gained.
He called for broader national support to allow the President to complete his two constitutional terms, saying continuity is critical for sustainable development.
The former lawmaker also lauded the Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, describing his leadership style as inclusive and strategically unifying. According to him, the governor’s approach to governance has strengthened collaboration and accelerated development efforts across the state.
Adeyeye added that Governor Oyebanji has continued to demonstrate the attributes of a true democrat, as seen in President Tinubu.
