As first set of  Emergency Medical Technician Proves School’s Competence

The College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti (COHESTI) has successfully presented her first set of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), for the Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B) international board/council examination.

The examination which was written at the same time across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia, was comfortably hosted online by the College ICT.

According to a release by the Institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Akintayo Enoch, EMT Students presented by the College recorded 100% success in the examination.

Akintayo added that, students of the College’ paramedic department will be awarded a diploma in Emergency Medical Technicians and licensed to practice, just as they would be given the opportunity to advance to the second phase of the programme, which is; (Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians) AEMT- Year 2.

The college provost Dr Mrs Cecilia Olajumoke Adebayo commended the students for making the school proud, assuring members of the public that the management would continue to provide facilities and enabling environment for standard and quality training for the student.
