EID-EL-FITRI: EKITI NORTH SENATORIAL ASPIRANT, TITILAYO OWOLABI AKERELE GREETS MUSLIMS, CALLS FOR PRAYER, SUPPORT FOR ENG. SEGUN ONI’S VICTORY

An aspirant to represent Ekiti North Senatorial District in the National Assembly and former Member Ekiti state House of Assembly Hon. Mrs Titilayo Owolabi Akerele has congratulated Muslim faithful in the state and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year’s Eid- El – Fitri celebration.

The Female Politician and Philantropist observed that said the celebration which marked the end of thirty days Ramadan fasting in accordance with Allah commandment worth celebrating by the Muslim ummahs.

Owolabi urged believers to abide by the lessons of Ramadan which she listed as sacrifice, perseverance, prayer, forgiveness and help to the needy in the society. She emphasized the need for religious tolerance for harmonious relationship and peaceful coexistence saying that bigots have been successful in using religion as a tool for division in the Nigerian society.

The Senate hopeful charged Muslims to use the period to pray for peace and progress of Ekiti state as the people prepare for the June 18 Governorship election. She also said that it was important to always remember Nigeria as a country needing serious prayers for divine intervention.

Hon Owolabi Akerele also prayed that the joy of the season will abide with everyone and wished the Muslim faithful Ramadan Mubarak. She called on Ekiti people to continue in their prayers for the Ekiti Rescue Mission of the SDP Governorship Candidate, Eng Segun Oni towards winning the election and taking Ekiti to the right track of development.

According to her, the Social Democratic Party SDP was bent on leading the state to light and lifting the citizens out of groaning. She urged them to keep hope alive, saying that help was on the way.
