Engineer Olaoluwa Dawodu (EOD) Commends Ekiti Road Projects, Promises Wider Infrastructure Boost for Oye, Ikole Constituents

An aspirant of the All Progressives Congress for Ekiti North Federal Constituency I, Engineer Olaoluwa Dawodu, popularly known as EOD has commended the ongoing infrastructure drive of the Ekiti State Government, particularly the renewed attention to road construction and rural connectivity across Ikole and Oye Local Government Areas.

Dawodu during a Community Engagement and Consultation with party faithful where he described the interventions as timely and impactful, especially in agrarian communities where access roads remain critical to economic survival.

The Isan Ekiti born world renowned engineer noted that projects such as the Ikole Isaba Ikoyi Igbemo road corridor, improvements across township roads in Ikole, as well as ongoing rehabilitation efforts along key routes linking Oye communities, clearly demonstrate a commitment to opening up rural economies and easing the movement of people and goods.

According to him, these efforts are already improving access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities for residents.

Dawodu, however, maintained that while these strides are commendable, there is still significant room for expansion, especially in ensuring that more interior communities are not left behind. He stressed that several roads within Oye and Ikole LGAs remain in need of urgent intervention, particularly those linking farming settlements to major towns.

Speaking on his ambition to represent the constituency at the House of Representatives, Dawodu assured constituents of a deliberate plan to complement ongoing state efforts by attracting federal presence to critical infrastructure projects.

He explained that his legislative agenda would prioritise road development, with a focus on facilitating the construction, rehabilitation, and proper maintenance of key roads across the constituency.

He further emphasised that improved road networks would not only enhance mobility but also stimulate local economies, reduce post harvest losses, and create opportunities for small businesses to thrive. According to him, infrastructure development must be practical, visible, and directly beneficial to the people.

Dawodu added that his background as an engineer and his exposure to global best practices place him in a strong position to advocate effectively for quality and durable infrastructure. He assured that his approach would go beyond promises, focusing instead on measurable and people oriented projects that can stand the test of time.

Reiterating his commitment to grassroots development, he assured the people of Oye and Ikole that no community would be overlooked under his representation. He pledged to work closely with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure development is inclusive and evenly distributed.

He called on constituents to sustain their support for progressive governance in Ekiti State, while expressing confidence that with the right representation at the federal level, the ongoing transformation across the constituency can be accelerated and sustained.
