Enhanced Security: Ikole Council Boss, Bayo Omojola Presents Motorcycle To Amotekun Corps

In a bid to ensure security of lives and property, the Chairman, Ikole Local government area of Ekiti state, Mr Bayo Omojola has presented one motorcycle to Amotekun security corps in the council.

Presenting the motorcycle at the headquarters of the council in Ikole-Ekiti, Mr. Omojola said the step was part of his resolves to provide the needed logistics to the security agencies in the area.

He stressed the importance of good mobility to the performances of the security personnel, as the motorcycle would help them to get to hard to reach areas during patrol, especially in farmsteads.

“If we want them to perform well, we have to give them what they need to work, this will motivate them to do perform their duties as expected”.

The Ikole local government Chairman urged the Security Operative to ensure regular maintenance of the motorcycle, while promising to extend such to other security agencies.

“I want to advice them to up their games by performing their duties as expected in order to justify the confidence reposed in them”.

Mr Bayo Omojola had earlier held his first meeting with heads of security outfits where he urged them to work in synergy to ensure the safety of the Residents.

“Security is key to development, in a safer environment, there is tendency for development, that is why we are doing our best to improve the security architecture of Ikole local government”.

Responding, the Commander of Amotekun Corps in Ikole local government, Mr Samuel Adewumi lauded the Council Boss for his determination to give them what they need to function well.

According to Mr Adewumi, the motorcycle would help to ease their movements during patrol of communities and farmsteads where the roads are not motorable.

He however promised not to disappoint the Chairman, with a promise that the corps would work with other agencies to give Ikole local government adequate security.
