Faith, Compassion and Service: Adedayo Oluwasanmi Extols Ekiti First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji as She Marks Birthday

An Ode-Ekiti born world renowned Pharmacist, Adedayo Oluwasanmi, has congratulated the wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, on the occasion of her birthday, describing her as a virtuous woman whose humility, compassion, and selfless service have touched countless lives across the state.

In a congratulatory message made available to the press to mark the celebration, which coincides with the Ikogosi Day festivities, Oluwasanmi lauded Dr. Oyebanji for her outstanding contributions to the progress and stability of the present administration in Ekiti State. He said her quiet strength and devotion to the well-being of the people have complemented the transformational leadership of her husband, Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Oluwasanmi noted that Dr. Oyebanji’s role as First Lady goes beyond ceremonials, stressing that she has become a symbol of hope and inspiration, particularly to women, youths, widows, and the less privileged. He added that her empathy-driven initiatives and tireless humanitarian efforts have given new meaning to governance with a human face in Ekiti State.

He commended her commitment to the empowerment of women through vocational training and entrepreneurship programmes, which have helped many Ekiti women to gain economic independence and support their families. According to him, the First Lady’s interventions in this area have rekindled hope and strengthened households that once struggled to survive.

Oluwasanmi also lauded Dr. Oyebanji’s unrelenting passion for youth development, particularly her focus on education, mentorship, and skill acquisition. He stated that her initiatives have motivated many young people to believe in their potential and pursue purposeful living rather than succumbing to the pressures of unemployment or social vices.

He described her as a mother figure who has used her platform to nurture future leaders, ensuring that young Ekiti citizens have access to opportunities that promote innovation, self-reliance, and moral values. Her belief in the capacity of the youth, he said, aligns with the Governor’s vision of building a prosperous and inclusive Ekiti State.

Speaking further, the pharmacist highlighted Dr. Oyebanji’s undaunting compassion towards widows and the underprivileged, noting that she has continued to reach out to those often neglected by society through food support, financial aid, and welfare packages. He said her actions have not only brought comfort but have restored the dignity of many struggling families.

Oluwasanmi also applauded the First Lady’s concern for children’s education and welfare, emphasizing her advocacy for the protection of children’s rights and her consistent efforts to ensure that every Ekiti child, regardless of background, enjoys access to quality education and basic needs.

He stated that through her initiative, “Widows and Orphans Support Project,” Dr. Oyebanji has built a legacy of compassion and care that resonates deeply within communities across the state. According to him, her interventions are not driven by publicity but by genuine love for humanity.

The Ode-Ekiti-born professional further expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her spiritual support to the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, especially through the monthly Praise and Worship sessions she organizes. He said the regular gatherings have become a source of spiritual renewal and unity among the people of Ekiti State.

Oluwasanmi stressed that the consistency of those sessions has shown evidence that God truly answers the prayers of the people, as reflected in the peace, progress, and visible development currently being witnessed in the state under the Oyebanji administration.

He remarked that Dr. Oyebanji’s strong faith and constant intercession for the state have played a crucial role in sustaining the atmosphere of tranquility and divine favor that Ekiti enjoys today. He described her as “a woman who stands in the gap for her people, lifting the state before God in prayer and thanksgiving.”

The APC stalwart said the life of Ekiti first lady epitomizes the virtues of piety, hard work, and humility, qualities that have earned her widespread respect both within and outside the state. According to him, her deep sense of service and love for the people remain an invaluable asset to the current government.

He stated that her leadership style reflects quiet influence — one that radiates empathy and action rather than rhetoric. He noted that behind every successful policy that uplifts the people of Ekiti lies the silent encouragement and prayers of the Governor’s wife.

Oluwasanmi described the celebrant as “a rare gem and a divine gift to Ekiti,” whose life continues to inspire many, especially young women striving to combine family, faith, and public service. He noted that her support for her husband has further strengthened the unity and purposefulness of the administration.

He added that Dr. Oyebanji’s life and works embody the true meaning of partnership in leadership, as she stands not only as the Governor’s wife but also as a co-visioner committed to the collective progress of Ekiti people.

While congratulating her on the special occasion of her birthday, Oluwasanmi prayed for continued divine grace, wisdom, and good health for the First Lady, expressing optimism that her new age would usher in even greater accomplishments and deeper fulfillment in service to humanity.

He said, “Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji has shown that leadership can be compassionate and that governance can touch lives beyond politics. She has proved that influence is not about position but about purpose.”

Oluwasanmi also extended felicitations to the people of Ikogosi-Ekiti as they celebrate their annual Day, saying that it was symbolic that such a momentous event coincides with the birthday of a woman whose life mirrors peace, resilience, and renewal — the same qualities for which Ikogosi is known.

He expressed hope that both celebrations would serve as a reminder of the need for unity, gratitude, and service among Ekiti people. According to him, “It is not a coincidence that the Ikogosi celebration falls on the birthday of the First Lady. It is a divine alignment that signifies blessings, grace, and continuous progress for our dear state.”

Oluwasanmi further enjoined the people of Ekiti to join hands in celebrating the Governor’s wife, whose love for humanity transcends boundaries and whose actions continue to make Ekiti a model of compassionate governance describing Dr. Oyebanji as a shining example of purposeful womanhood and a pillar of support whose light will continue to guide Ekiti State towards greater heights.

He reaffirmed his admiration and respect for the First Lady’s untiring dedication to God and humanity, saying that her influence will continue to inspire future generations.
