Following a shootout between cult gangs on the campus of Ibadan Polytechnic on Tuesday, the management of the institution has assured that peace will be restored soonest.
The shooting which lasted for about 20 minutes, sent people scampering for safety.
A trader on the campus said the usual hustle and bustle on campus ceased immediately as many ran away from the campus.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr Soladoye Adewole, told the News Agency of Nigeria that security agents were working assiduously to ensure that peace was restored to the campus.
According to him “We are liaising with all the security agencies and shortly everything will be put under control. The academic calendar is not affected in any way and nothing will affect it,’’
Some people were reported to have been hit by stray bullets. A commercial motorcyclist who was injured is now receiving care at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
