The Member representing the Oye Constituency in the Ekiti State House of Assembly Mr Yemi Osatuyi has called for cooperation among the Legislative and the Executive arms of the Oye Local Government.
Speaking after the inauguration of the councillors and the election of the principal officers, Osatuyi charged the legislators to see the state house of Assembly as their example.
He said that the cordiality in the different arms of government in the state has brought unprecedented development.
Osatuyi thanked Governor Fayemi for the efforts towards making dividends of democracy accrue to the people at the grassroot.
He charged the lawmakers to live up to expectation by moving close to the people. He said that the mandate of Governor Fayemi and the APC must be protected.
In his words ” I congratulate the new councillors and the newly elected leader of the house. We are not just here to merry. We are here to work. They must not be a rubber stamp legislators but they must understand their limits. The mandate is to bring good life to our people and they must know that.
I will also encourage the Executive arms to work according to the Constitution, by this, there would be unity of purpose”
