The Ekiti State Head of Service, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi, has welcomed civil servants in the state to a new year of distinction and greater exploits, urging them to remain committed to excellence, professionalism, and efficient service delivery in the discharge of their duties.
In her New Year message to public servants, the Head of Service extended warm felicitations to civil servants across all cadres, as well as to the people of Ekiti State and Nigerians at large, while acknowledging the critical role of the public service in driving effective governance and sustainable development.
Dr Olomojobi commended Ekiti State civil servants for their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to duty, noting that their collective efforts continue to form the backbone of policy implementation and public service delivery across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of government.
She called on public officers to remain steadfast, disciplined, and professional in the conduct of official responsibilities, stressing the need for improved efficiency, accountability, and responsiveness in delivering public goods and services to the people of the state in line with the developmental objectives of the Ekiti State Government.
The Head of Service further urged civil servants to uphold the values of integrity and loyalty while representing the government both at their duty posts and within their various communities, particularly as the state prepares for the forthcoming governorship election in the new year, emphasising that the neutrality and professionalism of the civil service remain sacrosanct.
Dr Olomojobi also commended the people of Ekiti State for sustaining peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence, noting that collective responsibility and civic maturity remain vital to the stability and progress of the state.
She expressed deep appreciation to the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his continued commitment to the welfare of civil servants and pensioners, describing the administration’s people centred approach as a morale booster for the workforce and a foundation for improved service delivery.
The Head of Service concluded by wishing all civil servants and residents of Ekiti State a peaceful and prosperous New Year, expressing optimism that the year ahead would bring greater achievements and institutional growth for the public service.
