The All Progressive Congress (APC) Southwest Nigeria has described the death of the APC chairman in Ekiti State Barrister Paul Omotosho as a monumental loss to politics and the Progressives’ family in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the APC Zonal Secretary, Southwest, Mr Vincent Bewaji, the APC National Vice Chairman, Southwest Barrister D.I Kekemeke who described the demise of Barrister Paul Omotosho as a rude shock noted that he would be greatly missed as a freedom fighter, meek, humble, mature and understanding.
The Ekiti APC chairman died on Tuesday after he closed from the office.
The Southwest zone of the party explained that the only solace they had was the legacies of the legal icon who never traded truth for carrot.
The statement reads
“Omotosho was an indefatigable and pragmatic leader who has repositioned Ekiti State to an enviable position, an embodiment of strength not merely in terms of physical might, but also in his unwavering ability to find balance and victory in a competitive political system.
Omotosho was instrumental to the victory of APC in all levels of election, his sumptuous disposition on issues cannot be easily forgotten”
The APC Southwest also commiserates with the governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, all APC leaders and members in the state as well as the immediate family of the APC leaders.
Kekemeke further said that “Omotosho has left a leadership vacuum in the party that will be hard to fill. May his soul rest in peace.
