As the Command Secondary school Isan Ekiti gains momentum, becoming the bride and pride of parents and students in the South West Nigeria, who whole -heartedly desire success through mentorship and leadership, the Management and Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA) of the School have intensified efforts to foster connections with stakeholders, organizations, and key individuals within the Ekiti state, reaching out to the community and the public to ensure the rapid advancement of the institution.
Led by the Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Olatunji Anifowoshe, and the PTA chairman Hon. Chief Adebayo Ojo Ajayi, the delegation recently embarked on a tour of traditional rulers’ palaces, including the Onisan of Isan Ekiti, Oba Gabriel Adejuwon, to seek moral and essential support for the school which is now deeply rooted in the state.
As part of their strategy to garner political support for the institution, especially in benefiting from federal and state government projects, the delegation visited Hon. Akin Rotimi Jr., the Member representing Ekiti North 1 (Ikole/Oye) Federal Constituency, and Senator Cyril Fasuyi, representing Ekiti North Senatorial district and Vice Chairman of the Senate committee on Army matters.
During discussions with these traditional and political stakeholders, the delegation emphasized the urgent need for attention to the school’s facilities, highlighting areas such as accommodation (hostel and staff quarters), sporting facilities, library, boreholes, laboratories, and classrooms with the goal of creating a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning activities.
The team which included PTA Vice Chairman Mr. Victor Adesoji, Treasurer Mrs. Awi Morenikeji, Secretary Faremi Seun Samuel, and PRO Prince Adeola Alex Fafure, appealed to stakeholders for assistance in making the institution a source of pride for the state.
They stressed the importance of sustaining and improving the school’s development momentum within its limited establishment time, commending the school’s administrator for the progress achieved.
The representatives explained that the school plays a crucial role in shaping the leadership qualities of students and instilling values and virtues, urging stakeholders to support the school in fulfilling its missions and visions.
In response, Oba Adejuwon, Senator Fasuyi, and Mr. Akin Rotimi pledged their commitments to assisting the school, promising to leverage their networks to attract support from notable indigenes of the state.
