Adedayo Oluwasanmi Urges Ekiti Christians to Embrace Love, Unity at Christmas, Seeks Prayers for Oyebanji

Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi, an Ode Ekiti born community leader and grassroots mobiliser, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians across Ekiti State, most especially the residents of Ekiti East, Gbonyin, Aiyekire and Emure Federal Constituency.

In his goodwill message released on Wednesday through his media aide and personally signed by him, Oluwasanmi described the Christmas season as a period of reflection, renewal of faith and collective responsibility, urging the people to embrace the deeper values the celebration represents beyond festivities.

He noted that Christmas offers an opportunity for individuals and communities to strengthen bonds of unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, especially at a time when social and economic pressures continue to test communal harmony.

The pharmacist, who has remained active in community development initiatives, encouraged Christians to use the season to extend genuine love and compassion to one another, irrespective of religious, political or social differences.

According to him, the essence of Christmas lies in selflessness and sacrifice, values that should inspire individuals to reach out to the needy, the vulnerable and the less privileged within their communities.

He stressed that small acts of kindness, when multiplied across households and neighbourhoods, could significantly ease hardship and foster a more caring and inclusive society in Ekiti State.

Oluwasanmi also called on residents of the four local government areas in the federal constituency to maintain peaceful relations and uphold the long-standing culture of mutual respect that has defined the zone over the years.

He said sustained peace at the grassroots level remains critical to development, adding that communities thrive best when unity and understanding are prioritised over division.

The community leader further urged the people to remain steadfast in prayer, not only for personal wellbeing but also for the continued progress and stability of Ekiti State.

He specifically appealed for prayers and sustained support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, describing leadership as a collective responsibility that requires the goodwill and cooperation of the governed.

Oluwasanmi observed that consistent public support and constructive engagement with government policies would strengthen governance and accelerate development efforts across the state.

He commended the resilience of Ekiti people, noting that despite prevailing challenges, the state has continued to demonstrate a strong sense of community and shared purpose.

The pharmacist expressed optimism that with faith, unity and compassion, Ekiti State would witness greater social cohesion and economic growth in the coming year.

He concluded by wishing Christians a peaceful and joyful Christmas celebration and urged all residents of the state to enter the new year with renewed hope, commitment to service and a shared determination to build a more prosperous Ekiti for all.
