It was all fun in Ikere Ekiti, the country home of the governorship candidate of the ADC in the forthcoming election, Dr Oluwole Oluyede as his wife, Mrs Kemi and his Deputy, Dr. Simbo Hidiat treated children in the state to food drinks and lots of entertainment.
In addition the children in their large number went home with lots of packages in the spirit of Easter. The children who could not hide their feelings were seen jumping and dancing in appreciation of the gesture.
Speaking with BeyondNews, Mrs Olukemi Oluyede said the action was to put smiles on the faces of the children and extend love to them as exemplified by Christ.
She promised that the programme would be introduced as an annual event if her husband becomes the Governor of the state, urging people to support his ambition.
She prayed for the children and implored them to take the message to their parents to vote ADC, so as to enjoy more of the gathering when they finally get to Okeayaba.
Mrs Oluyede also urged the children to pray for the success of the party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election. On her part, the ADC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Dr Simbo Hidiat Poopola urge the children to be of good behavior and also reflect on the teachings of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Present at the occasion was the ADC Governor candidate, Dr Oluwole Oluyede who also prayed for the children and urged them to be studious.
