Ekiti begins moves towards adoption of technology in transportation, Commissioner, Ajobiewe lists potential development partners

The effort of the Ekiti State Government towards the development of the transportation sector through the use of enhanced technology is beginning to yield positive results as technology did and investors are now showing interest in collaborating with the officials of the ministry of transportation in order to achieve the mandate of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

This is evident as a notable technology company Techtrail Consulting Limited showed its readiness to partner with the State Ministry of Transportation.

In a meeting held on Friday between the Ministry officials and the personnel of the company,  the commissioner for transportstion Pst. Kehinde Kolawole Ajobiewe, expressed the openess of the Oyebanji led administration to investors and development partners.

The meeting aimed at discussing ways to leveraging on enhanced technology in the transportation system availed the officials to fashion out the terms and conditions for the public private partnership project where the representatives of the state internal revenue service was also in attendance.

The Chief executive officer of the Techtrail Consulting Limited Mr. Azeem Yusuf, showcased the expertise of the company assuring the state of the capability to provide technological solutions in the transport system.of the state.

Mentioning the company’s successful implementation of e-ticketing for transportation unions in Lagos State, Mr Yusuf further gave some practicable solutions to include the use of smart ticketing systems, real-time tracking of vehicles, and integration of online platforms for booking and payment.

The Commissioner for Transportation PST Kehinde Ajobiewe and his team expressed their desire and readiness o replicate the success recorded in other cities in Ekiti State.

Also part of the discussion were the  review of Ekiti Transportation/Traffic law, ways to attract prominent investors in the transportation sector such as  Uber, Bolt, and God is Good Motors.

Ajobiewe expressed his enthusiasm for adopting these technological solutions, emphasizing the importance of leveraging technology to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and provide improved services to the people of Ekiti State.
