Ekiti HOS Àgbède Boasts of competence, excellence in Ekiti Civil service as Yéwándé Adesua makes state Proud

The Head of Service, Barrister Dele Agbede made this submission, when the Ekiti State year 2023 beneficiary of the AIG-Imokuhuede institute in partnership with the University of Oxford Blacvatnik school of Government, Mrs Yewande Adesua presented her certificate of completion to the Head of Service.

The Head of Service who was happy at the way the beneficiary conducted herself, faced the hurdles and the challenges involved in the programme and came out successfully, expressed optimism that the knowledge gained will be domesticated and used for the development of the public service.

In a statement made available to the press by the the Director Press, office of the HOS, Mr Femi Bamisaye,Barrister Agbede described the beneficiary of the AIG-Imokuhuede as a passionate, committed diligent and unassuming officer who is worthy of emulation by other officers to move the civil service forward.

The Head of Service called on Civil servants to always do their best as somebody is watching them and the reward will be accorded at the appropriate time.

He said that Ekiti State Government under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji led- administration will continue to organize trainings and collaborate with relevant agencies to train its workforce.

The Head of Service commended the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Capacity Development and Reforms, Mr. Dare Ajayi for ensuring that training of the civil servants in various cadres in ICT and other digital technology skills are appropriately scheduled.

The AIG-Imuokhuede Leaders Programme in conjunction with the University of Oxford’s Blavantnik School of Government offers scholarship to potential men and women to participate in a seven- week world class leadership programme of academic scholarship worth 11,500 Great British Pound (GBP) each on Nigerian public servants who are successful in the keenly competitive application process.

The programme afford participants to acquire a range of vital leadership skills, conceptual frameworks and practical tools that will empower them to be more effective in their organisations through the challenges of an increasingly complex and dynamic world.

The Permernent Secretary, Office of the Capacity Development and Reforms, Mr. Dare Ajayi congratulated Mrs Adesua on making the State proud at the successful completion of the programme, charged her to be ready to cascade the knowledge gained into other public servants in other to improve the Ekiti Public Service attainment of the 21 century Public Service.

Earlier, Mrs. Yewande Adesua thanked the Ekiti Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for approving her nomination for the programme, which she said gave her the privilege to network with other meaningful people across the African continent especially the West African nations .

She also, explained that her exposure to the programme enlightened her to know that transition from paper dependent to e-office is achievable.

Adesua thanked the Head of Service for his guidance and supports to make the Programme achievable with ease.
