Ekiti Speaker Aribasoye Spreads Christmas Cheer to Constituents, Urges Continued Support for Governor Oyebanji, State Assembly

Ikole Constituency Two in Ekiti State was a hub of festivities this Christmas season as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, brought joy to the community with his annual largesse.

The Speaker’s three-day community outreach, which kicked off on Christmas Eve at Odo Ayedun, saw an overwhelming turnout of individuals and groups who benefited from cash gifts, food items, and other forms of support.

Among the beneficiaries were members of driver and okada rider unions, Christian and Muslim organizations, the NUT, NULGE, Ajoni Women Group, market women, the Action Club, and others.

Aribasoye’s gesture, he explained, was aimed at fostering happiness and strengthening his bond with the people he represents. The elderly were not left out as he distributed special packages tagged “Ounje Arugbo from Ariba” to ensure they had a memorable holiday.

Adding to the celebration, the Speaker’s wife contributed by gifting 120 yards of Ankara fabrics to women leaders across the wards in the constituency. This act of generosity was complemented by a cash donation of N250,000 to each ward, with N50,000 set aside for the ward executives. Additionally, representatives from all wards received N5,000 each as transport support.

The outreach extended to staple food distribution across households in the constituency, a gesture that has become a hallmark of the Aribasoye political group. The Speaker also attended his ward meeting, where he donated generously alongside other political appointees, including Olamide Aribisala, Bidemi Ipinlaye, Olusola Ajisola, and the ward Councillor.

Expressing gratitude, constituents praised the Speaker for his consistency in showing compassion and delivering impactful representation. Many pledged their unwavering support for his leadership.

In his remarks, Aribasoye expressed appreciation to the people for their trust and loyalty, reiterating his commitment to serving with passion and objectivity. He commended the seventh assembly under his leadership for its achievements over the past year and lauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji for respecting the legislature’s independence.

The Speaker also visited traditional rulers within the constituency, extending his Christmas goodwill and urging sustained support for the present administration and the legislative arm. According to him, this synergy remains key to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Ekiti.
