MCF EKSU Alumni Holds Memorable 2025 Reunion in Ado-Ekiti

The Methodist Campus Fellowship (MCF), Ekiti State University Alumni Association, has held its 2025 reunion in Ado-Ekiti, a gathering that brought together old and new members of the fellowship for a weekend of worship, bonding, and celebration.

Themed “This Same Jesus” (Acts 1:1), the event featured soul-lifting ministrations, drama, choir renditions, an excursion, and a holy communion service, providing members an opportunity to reconnect spiritually and socially.

The reunion opened with a charge delivered by Pastor Adun Adeyemi, followed by an inspiring word ministration from Pastor Tunji Aribasoye. Members also embarked on an excursion to Asha Garden, where they engaged in games, recreational activities, and fellowship in a serene natural environment.

One of the high points of the reunion was the holy communion service, ministered by Rt. Rev. Shittu Abidemi, Bishop of Ado Diocese, with Very Rev. Abraham representing Archbishop Oluyemisi Ogunlere of Ifaki Archdiocese. Another historic moment came with the election of the fellowship’s first female president, breaking a 25-year record since MCF EKSU was founded.

Alumni Chairman, Bro. Toba Fatunla, commended the Planning Committee led by Bro. Abe Samson and Bro. Busuyi Agbaje, as well as program planner Bro. Ope Kumolu, for their dedication. He also praised the executives, including Mrs. Kumolu (Vice President), Bro. Balogun (General Secretary), Bro. Solomon Adegboyo, and Sis. Yomi Elegbede (Treasurer), alongside Sis. Yemisi Jegede, who oversaw welfare and hospitality.

Special recognition was accorded to the Alumni Chairman Emeritus, Sir Akinola Elisha, for his consistent financial and moral support, which has strengthened both the alumni body and the campus fellowship over the years.

The reunion also witnessed reconnections with members across Nigeria and abroad, with several alumni who could not attend physically extending financial and moral support.

Fatunla, in his closing remarks, said the reunion was not only about fun but about rekindling the fire of God, strengthening bonds, and charting a greater course for the future. He noted that the 2027 edition, which coincides with the 27th anniversary of MCF EKSU, would be “louder, glorious, and unforgettable.”

The programme ended with prayers, thanksgiving, and a renewed commitment to uphold the legacy of the fellowship as a citadel of spiritual growth, love, and excellence.
