Pharmacist Oluwasanmi Hails President Tinubu’s Two Years in Office, Says Nigeria on Path to Fulfillment

An Ode Ekiti born Philanthropist and Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, Pharmacist Adedayo Oluwasanmi has extended warm congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire population of Nigeria on the occasion of his two-year anniversary of what he described as unprecedented  purposeful leadership in the History of the Nation.

In a statement made available to journalists in Ekiti, his home state, Pharmacist Oluwasanmi explained that the president has embarked on courageous interventions that have set Nigeria on a transformative path toward sustainable development, national rebirth, and collective prosperity.

According to him, President Tinubu inherited a deeply troubled economy riddled with debt, policy inconsistency, insecurity, and dwindling investor confidence, of which different positive narratives are currently emerging today, in different sectors of the nation.

He commended the President for demonstrating uncommon political will by confronting head-on the structural weaknesses that had long held the country hostage, particularly the fuel subsidy regime and the multiple exchange rate systems that drained national revenues.

Oluwasanmi, a diaspora based pharmacist and local mobilizer for the Tinubu led government  emphasized that the bold removal of fuel subsidy by President Tinubu was not just an economic decision but a patriotic one, aimed at saving trillions of naira annually for reinvestment into critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare..

The pharmacist further lauded the President’s monetary and fiscal coordination efforts, especially the unification of the exchange rate and the overhaul of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s leadership which he noted have attracted renewed investor confidence and laid the groundwork for macroeconomic stability, thereby putting the country on the path of sustainable recovery.

He pointed to the recent economic data that shows an uptick in foreign direct investment, improvements in revenue generation, and a narrowing of the fiscal deficit, as the early fruits of Tinubu’s economic reengineering, maintaining that the economic transformation will only get better in the coming years as the effects of these reforms begin to trickle down to households and businesses.

In the area of agriculture, Pharmacist Oluwasanmi lauded the President’s administration for reviving the sector with targeted interventions that aim to achieve food security, acknowledging the efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture to support smallholder farmers through improved access to fertilizers, irrigation infrastructure, and credit, noting that Nigeria’s food production capacity has started to rise steadily.

The Ode Ekiti politician commended President Bola Tinubu for his visible strides in education, especially through the launch of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which provides interest-free loans to indigent students pursuing tertiary education, commending the introduction of a tuition-free programme in 33 Federal Science and Technical Colleges, which he described as a move that will boost human capital development and equip Nigerian youths with the practical skills required for today’s economy.

In the health sector, Oluwasanmi applauded the Tinubu administration for revitalizing primary healthcare centres and expanding coverage through the National Health Insurance Authority. He highlighted the rollout of the malaria vaccine and improvements in maternal health services as clear indicators of progress in the nation’s healthcare delivery.

He also cited major infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Lagos Rail Mass Transit expansion as transformative developments that will not only improve mobility but also stimulate regional trade and integration. These efforts, according to him, are laying the foundation for Nigeria’s long-term development.

Despite the hardship caused by fuel subsidy removal and exchange rate reforms, Oluwasanmi said Tinubu’s administration has shown boldness, focus, and resilience in pushing through critical reforms. He argued that while the pain is real, the policies are necessary steps toward a stable and prosperous future, and Nigerians must recognize the leadership it takes to make such decisions.

Calling President Tinubu a visionary leader, Oluwasanmi urged Nigerians to appreciate the progress made so far and continue to support the administration, emphasizing that national transformation is gradual and that history will ultimately remember Tinubu as the leader who took decisive action to reposition Nigeria for greatness.
