They also beg Senator Opeyemi Bamidele for assistance, describing him as a public-spirited politician who has saved so many people from darkness by providing transformers for them. The chairmen emphasized the financial burden that repairing the transformer has placed on them in addition to many other expenses they regularly expend through communal efforts to make life bearable for residents.

Speaking further, an appointee of the state governor, Mr Ade Adetola popularly called Papa who is also a resident said the governor was not aware assured the people of the four communities that the governor being a compassionate governor and the Senate leader, Senator Opeyemi Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) who always prioritizes the welfare of the masses would do something on the transformer as soon as possible.

Many speakers at the event, including affected business owners, shared their personal stories and the impact of the ongoing electricity issues on their livelihoods. They conveyed their continued support for the governor’s administration while underscoring the urgency of their situation.

The moribund transformer, which was donated by former Governor Kayode Fayemi in 2011, has since tired out.
