Mother luck smiled on no fewer than seven indigent students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) when their recurring nightmares of possibly dropping out of school on account of insolvency was wiped by an act of charity from popular Social Media Influencer and EU-Africa Ambassador, Enioluwa Adeoluwa.
A statement signed by the University Public Relations Officer Mr Temitope Akinbisoye said the beneficiaries almost could not believe the sudden twist of fate in their favour when they were presented with the evidences of payments of their school fees to enable them partake in the ongoing first semester examinations in the University.
The statement added that while making the presentations at a brief ceremony held on the University campus, the mother of Enioluwa who is also a lecturer in the University, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoluwa said the Adeoluwa family has a pedigree of giving to humanity through the Family’s Humanitarian Scheme adding that the popular Social Media Content Creator, Enioluwa, who is a scion of the family, offered to assist the students by paying their school fees.
She remarked that the gesture was to evolve a society where no one would be denied access to quality education over financial incapacity.
Mrs Adeoluwa advised the beneficiaries to strive to excel in their academics and make something meaningful out of their lives.
She said ” I will like to advise the beneficiaries to strive to bring out something good from the University and they too should also give back to the society in future”
Speaking at the occasion, the Coordinator of Students’ Affairs, Mr. Ayodeji Ilugbusi lauded the noble initiative which he said would assist the students in achieving their dreams.
He said that the Adeoluwa family has a history of charitable Interventions for students with difficulties.
He said” Am not surprised about the gesture because Professor Adeoluwa himself has been a godfather to all the students of this institution using his personal money to pay the school fees of most students in this institution.
The visibly elated students thanked the Adeoluwas for coming to their aid at a critical point in their educational pursuits when all hopes seemed lost.
Enioluwa Adeoluwa, affectionately called “the Lip Gloss Boy” by his teeming fans, is the son of the Vice-Chancellor of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa.
