The Ekiti State Commissioner for Capacity Development and Training, Prof. Patrick Tedela says he would give priority to innovative ideas from staffers of the ministry and other relevant stakeholders in order to compliment the 6-Point Agenda of the Administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji
The new Commissioner made this known during the maiden meeting held with his members of staff, where he sought their support particularly in the area of enhanced service delivery,
He emphasized the importance of capacity development in administration and governance, promising era of consistent training and retraining for all workers, civil servants and non civil servants in the state.
The Commissioner pledged to make the best use of the human and material resources available to him in the new office in order to build a better reputation for the ministry through effectiveness and result-oriented programmes
The former provost, college of Post Graduate studies Ekiti state University explained that the administration of Governor Oyebanji is poised to transforming the state and the public service through regular capacity building programmes aimed at enabling favourable competitiveness with other states in the country.
The Permanent Secretary, Mr Oluwadare Ajayi who responded on behalf of the staff of the Ministry assured the new Commissioner of their total cooperation towards achieving success on the mandate given them by the Governor.
Mr Ajayi however highlighted some of the challenges facing the ministry to include inadequate office accommodation, lack of functional utility vehicles and poor funding among others.
