EKITI HOS Àgbède Assures Government Commitment to Workers’ Welfare, Continues Tour of MDAs.

The Head of Service, Barrister Bamidele Agbede has again reiterated the commitment of the State Government to the development and welfare programmes of the civil servants.

Agbede remarked this at the continuation of the tour to Ministries, Departments and Agencies to interact with civil servants in their offices in Ado Ekiti.

He said that all civil servants must be ready to do their best in contributing their quota to the development of the public sector to be able to have a public service that will be respected and capable to deliver the government’s good to the public aspirations.

In a statement by the Director of Press Office of the Head of Service, Agbede maintained that the essence of building 21st-century public service is to strive at making the public service more positioned and produced a result-oriented civil service to support the government and implement projects and programmes that will be acceptable and beneficial to the general populace.

The Head of service promised that the government will continue to strive at providing a befitting environment, equipment and training for public servants that will meet the 21st-century challenges.

The Permanent Secretaries, General Managers and the Executive Secretaries that were visited expressed delights at the visitation while identifying their various challenges, the Head of Service proffered immediate solutions to some of them in a way that will stand the test of time.

The chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Chief Adewumi Abejide with the Board Members who expressed happiness at the appointment of the Head of Service, Bar Agbede, praised Governor Kayode Fayemi for giving the commission a free hand to operate and requested uplifting the environmental condition of the commission to enhance more productivity

The Offices visited were the Ministry of Works and Transport, Ministry of Local Government, Local Government Service Commission, Electricity Board, Bureau of Special Projects, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, and Waste Management Agency, Office of Public defender, State and Local Government Auditor General’s office.
