“There is no file I submitted on his table without him approving. He would approve it so far the projects are for the development of the people. So, I can say Oyebanji is a God sent. I’m not condemning our past Governors but with the six months he has spent, I have seen the difference and felt the gap“.
The above exact are the words of the Executive Chairman of Ado-Ekiti Central Local Council Development Area, Engr. Toyin Ojo while expressing delight over the successes recorded by the council under his watch.
In an interview with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, on Thursday, Engr. Ojo lauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his support to governance at the grassroots.
He explained that the council area can now boast of a Permanent Secretariat to ensure the smooth running of affairs in the area, as the council is also set to conclude the installation of 70 solar street lights and other projects in the area.
He added that the council area remains the only one in Ado-Ekiti to embark on such project, chargingresidents of the area to fulfil their civic responsibility in prompt payment of taxes.
“The creation of LCDA has brought development to the grassroots, like this place now, two years ago was not like this. Today the place has been transformed.
“We have bypassed the stage where we would say there were much workers with limited works but reverse is the case now. We are even looking for a way to write the Governor to give us the approval to employ our own cadre.
“By the end of this week or next week, we’ll be having about 70 solar street lights that will be installed. I’m the only one doing this out of the four of us in Ado-Ekiti.

“They should pay their taxes as at when due so that our council can develop the more, as they are currently experiencing.”
